Employee Spotlight: Jose “Pancho” Brenes

We are proud to welcome back to our team former first mate of the Sea Fly, Jose “Pancho” Brenes. Pancho’s new role with us will be head of business development and VIP concierge services. As a professional mate in Costa Rica for more than 15 years, he has fostered countless memorable experiences with many of our customers.

“I have been on some epic trips with Maverick clients, from catching 25 blue marlin 140 miles offshore to releasing several giant black marlin just off our coast - I am blessed to work in this amazing fishery every day,” says Pancho. “Los Sueños Resort and Marina is not only ‘The Billfish Capital of the World,’ but also has the greatest amenities available to both traveling families and serious tournament anglers alike.
