An Unforgettable Day Fishing with Maverick Sportfishing — Absolutely First Class! My wife, our nine-year-old son, and I had an absolutely unforgettable day on the water, and it was without question one of the best fishing experiences I’ve ever had.…

Family of 5 with adult kids had the best time on the water onboard Los Seunos. The crew made our experience top notch. Worth every penny and would surely do this again. We landed plenty of fish from snapper (BIG), a HUGE Bull Mahi Mahi and 4 good size yellowfin tuna. The office will gladly vacuum pack, label and freeze…

When is the best time to fish in Los Sueños?

Peak season runs from mid-December through the end of April. That is when sailfish, blue, black and striped marlin, mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna and wahoo are all within reach, often close to shore. We fish year-round, and the monthly fishing reports show what is biting.

What is included in a charter?

A full crew, top-quality tackle and all bait, water and ice, sodas, juice and beer, fresh fruit, and snacks (pico de gallo, guacamole and bean dip with chips). Full-day charters also include lunch.

How many people can fish on one boat?

It depends on the boat. Dream II takes 4 anglers, the 36-footers take 5, our 42 to 45-foot boats take 6, and the 50-footers take up to 8.

Where do charters leave from?

Every charter leaves from Los Sueños Resort & Marina on the central Pacific coast, a little over an hour by car from San José (SJO) airport. We can arrange ground transport from SJO or Liberia (LIR).

Can you book accommodation and tours as well?

Yes. Our concierge team books luxury rentals in Los Sueños and land tours such as zip-lining, waterfalls, surf lessons, ATVs and Manuel Antonio National Park.
