This month, we’re featuring Daniel Montiel Corea, who helps us with our social media, creative endeavors and is a top-notch guest concierge. Daniel has been with Maverick Costa Rica for about 2 years now and he has become a valued member of our team. How long have you worked at Maverick Costa Rica, and what is your position?

I have 2 years and 4 months, starting on October 18th, 2019. I am a reservations & concierge agent and have recently become the social media coordinator.

What is your favorite fish to catch, and why? Do you have any favorite seafood dishes?

Yellowfin Tuna, and I love sushi and poke!

While the full Maverick Costa Rica fleet is incredible, do you have a boat that you like the most? Why?

I am not really sure why exactly but I think I have a good connection with Super Fly & Open Fly.

Outside of sportfishing, what is your top "must-do" activity for guests visiting Costa Rica?

They should have enough time to know the rainforest, cloud forest, and of course the fishing.

Our small country has plenty of options, a mix of adventure and relaxation. A must-do is Zip Lining.

What's the best part of working for Maverick Costa Rica?

The nice and respectful way the owners treat us. Besides that, the opportunity to gain experience and make your career grow.
