Fly Fishing at Maverick Costa Rica

If you've paid attention to how we name our boats here at Maverick Costa Rica, you might pick up on a theme. We've got Satis Fly, Top Fly, Sea Fly, and we can go on and on.  At this point, you might have a good idea of where the names come from: We have a deep love of fly fishing. In fact, fly fishing is really where it all started for us here at Maverick Costa Rica. 

Admittedly, many fishing charters we run here at Maverick Costa Rica utilize conventional tackle. Despite how much we love it, it presents a new set of challenges and, depending on your goals for the day, if you're up for a well-earned angling reward, it may be just the right adventure you're looking for. Or perhaps to fulfill a bucket-list adventure - catching many of the different pelagic species found here off Los Sueños on our custom fly gear. 

The truth is, off-shore fly fishing is a challenge. It requires technique, experience, and -- above all -- patience.  A deep understanding of the correct gear and bait is critical, and having a well-versed captain and crew is vital. We have you covered with 20 years of experience.
