What do you like most about your job?
Everything, but I love solving problems and the mornings I spend with the captains.
What challenges have you faced in this job?
This is an easy question to answer - our High Season!
What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional in your field should have?
Being able to understand colleagues and share our knowledge.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Being at home with my dogs and the gym.
Describe an interesting hobby you have?
I don't know if it is very interesting, but I like to spend time in the gym.
What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?
Having my own house full of dogs, traveling non-stop, and being more independent!
What is something amazing that not many people know about you?
Believe it or not, I am a trained dentist.
When did you first know that you wanted to dedicate yourself to this?
When I joined Maverick, despite all the challenges, I knew this is was something worth dedicating time to.
What value have you added to this team that no one else can?
Strength - both emotional and physical!
What do you think is the most important skill you bring to the table?
My willingness to solve problems … and a good sense of humor.
What is your favorite memory of working at the company?
Tortuga Island trip with the entire Maverick Costa Rica team.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
The interactions with our guests, the crew, and most important, with the team of the center.

What do you like most about your job?
Getting to spend so much time with happy people! Happiness is contagious.
What challenges have you faced in this job?
Even on busy days, make sure to stay positive and happy. Luckily, the guests make this easy.
What do you think is the most important skill that a successful professional in your field should have?
Speed! We have to work quickly and make fast decisions to ensure that we continue to catch a lot of fish, have fun and stay safe.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Easy - spending time with my Family.
Describe an interesting hobby you have?
Currently, as any parent will relate, my biggest hobby is my children.
What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?
Financial Freedom.
What is something amazing that not many people know about you?
When I am sleeping, I regularly dream that I am fishing. We all have work dreams, but I think mine are pretty good.
When did you first know that you wanted to dedicate yourself to this?
When I realized that I could make a living from fishing and do this professionally.
What value have you added to this team that no one else can?
A lot of experience, but I'm not self-centered… lots of other folks on the Maverick Costa Rica team also have a ton of experience.
What do you think is the most important skill you bring to the table?
Planning, planning, planning! A good day of fishing depends on a solid plan.
What is your favorite memory of working at the company?
The day I was hired! Learning that I would get to do this as a career was an amazing day.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
Maverick is very well known in the fishing community, and I feel like it is a privilege to get to work on such an incredible team. I really enjoy and value that privilege.
